Welcome Back Everyone!

Our first days of P.E. have been full of learning new names, reviewing safety in the gym, team building and cooperative learning during play.

We have been so busy having fun that I wasn't able to get one picture or video :(

Shoe Tying

Shoe Tying Pointers There is no wrong way to tie a shoe. Make sure you practice often but not too long. Consider getting two different color laces for easier visualization. (or you can use marker) Be sure the shoe is facing away from your child. Practice tightening (pulling) laces from the bottom. Make sure your child has enough lace to tie with. Take laces out of top hole for length. Be patient, give your child time to tie then you can tighten or double knot. Watch all the videos, try them all! See which one works best for your child.

I HOPE YOU HEARD ABOUT THIS !!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday was the most exciting work day! Not only is SPEED STACKS an activity that spans the ages it also helps with reading and math. Cups are used from left to right which simulates reading patterns. Both dominant and non-dominant hands are used which means using both brain hemispheres. Exercises fine motor skills and increases Hand Eye Coordination. The list goes on!  Your children all played with their own set of cups to learn patterns then participated in different games and competitions. It was an AWESOME day!
