Tis' the season

December is here.........

I had the pleasure of escorting the 8th grade to New York City on Wednesday where in a 6 hour period of time we racked up more then enough steps to count as our work out for the day!

Do you see the resemblance??????

This may seem like a simple rest time, HOWEVER; the Nursery 3 was huddled behind their "hideout" to keep away from the Grinch! Santa as a back drop makes for some very imaginative play!

The risers are up for the Christmas show, SOOOO Nursery 2 used them to our advantage to practice sitting and rolling our balls off them! Walking down the risers and chasing them was the best part!

Finishing up February

8th Grade had a great day outside to finish up flag football :) Nursery 2 has been practicing "tracking" with their eyes.  Nursery 3 students have advanced to station rotation!! In the past the students have had specific equipment put out and they could move around to each station as they chose. Now, two friends are assigned a station to work at for a period of time and then move to the next. This allows children to interact with different friend each class and ensures that they work on each skill.

Taking it up a notch!

5th Gr playing "Blitz" flag games Hey parents, give this one a try! Balance activities are getting more difficult!!!!  Experimenting on scooters Air Hockey players have graduated to "Hand Tennis"  We use our heads in P.E too!!

I HOPE YOU HEARD ABOUT THIS !!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday was the most exciting work day! Not only is SPEED STACKS an activity that spans the ages it also helps with reading and math. Cups are used from left to right which simulates reading patterns. Both dominant and non-dominant hands are used which means using both brain hemispheres. Exercises fine motor skills and increases Hand Eye Coordination. The list goes on!  Your children all played with their own set of cups to learn patterns then participated in different games and competitions. It was an AWESOME day!
