Make Lemonade!

(Big kids on the bottom!)

One of my favorite things about Holy Child are the opportunities for the students to express themselves in several ways. Some may think that by loosing the gym I get upset.......
NOT TRUE! I  use the stage to our advantage and allow our little dragons to safely explore and
become theatrical on stage and they do NOT disappoint!

Another favorite thing about HCA is that we are supported when we need to be flexible! When the big kids don't have a gym and it's first period, we make breakfast! I really enjoyed the time with 6th and 7th Grade Wednesday morning! Parents, thank you for sending in our supplies and good luck feeding these growing children :)

I HOPE YOU HEARD ABOUT THIS !!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday was the most exciting work day! Not only is SPEED STACKS an activity that spans the ages it also helps with reading and math. Cups are used from left to right which simulates reading patterns. Both dominant and non-dominant hands are used which means using both brain hemispheres. Exercises fine motor skills and increases Hand Eye Coordination. The list goes on!  Your children all played with their own set of cups to learn patterns then participated in different games and competitions. It was an AWESOME day! Things are FALLing in to place

Happy FALL Ya'll........ Pickleball.... Did you know that Pickleball is a fast growing "lifetime sport"? This means you can play your entire life!    We do not let the big kids have ALL the fun!                                             Everybody loves a Bean Bag :)
Grades 4 and 5 have been working together nicely during P.E.  Our first unit is VOLLEYBALL !  Students started off learning to move their feet to get to the ball, keeping our hands in front of our body, and learning to always be ready. 6th and 7th Grade are practicing their FRISBEE skills. We started working on basic throw and catch, receiving a pass on the run, and pass and go. We are off to a good start! Our Nursery Dragons have begun simple stations ! Balance, building (fine motor) and equipment manipulation (aka fun:)
