Stations and..........

Have your children come home and said, "We did stations in Gym today!". Here is a video giving some examples of what some stations look like. Children in Grades N2 through 1st Grade (sometimes 2nd:) use station work to review lessons in class. In the video below we are reviewing lessons from September to present on balance , rolling , tossing , and most recently working on throwing .  Occasionally, students get injured and are not able to participate in P.E. Here are some of the activities I have them work on while on " injured reserve "!

Story Time!

"Sally Sore Loser" A story about winning and losing By: Frank J. Sileo Have a discussion about winning and losing with your child! Many times these issues come up on the playground or at recess and children don't know how to deal with it. One way I teach the students to deal with small issues is to play Rocks, Paper, Scissors! The children should play one time  (not best out of three) and who ever wins RPS gets the decision in their favor. No arguing over the result and play continues. Practice RPS with your children at home :)
